Earl Mayac

Origin:  King Island

Culture:  King Island Inupiaq

Earl Mayac was born June 5th, 1938 on King Island to Charles and Mary Ann Mayac.   He learned how to carve from his father and has become well known for his depictions of transformation, ceremony and spirit.

He died on July 14th, 2010, highly regarded as one of the most prominent and prolific King Island carvers.
