Hunter at Breathing HoleView more work by Joe Kunnuk
A great hunting scene where a hunter plays the waiting game at a breathing hole. Notice the carefully balanced symmetry of this piece with two seals carved out of the ivory base to provide the hunter's platform. Joe often finds includes a human face somewhere in his carvings; here it is located on the back of the base opposite the seals.
