Ivory Cormorant View more work by Jerome Saclamana
Better known for his shamans, Jerome Saclamana turns his expert hand to carving the elegant form of the cormorant. Once again he applies his own simple yet expressive style to capture the graceful curve of the neck and alert posture of this beautiful arctic bird as she stand sentinel over her nest of eggs. The cormorant is carved from walrus ivory with baleen inlay eyes and stands on a bone base.
