Mother and ChildView more work by Edwin Weyiouanna
This charming mother and child scene is carved from a piece of caribou antler giving rich tonal variation. The faces are carved from walrus ivory and the entire piece is inlaid with baleen. The similar hand positions suggest that the child is being taught a dance.
