Ribbon Seal

This style of seal was one developed by Fred's father, Floyd Sr., and so is one distinctly associated with the Kingeekuk family as it has been passed down through the generations.  Extremely delicate lines of scrimshaw are built up on the surface of the ivory to create a realistic impression of fur, soft muzzle and glossy eyes.  It is an innovative method of scrimshaw that take much skill and practice to master.
