Oseuk's plucky Snow Bunting is carved from a dense piece of whalebone that has been polished to a high shine and mounted on baleen legs to a more porous piece of whalebone. Colloquially referred to as a Snowflake, this little arctic bird has its wings slightly extended and body tilted forward as if just about to take flight.
