Swimming WalrusView more work by Fred Kingeekuk
Carved from a rich brown color piece of walrus ivory, this swimming walrus has impressive detail and motion. The walrus' tusks are subsistence hunted ivory and create a nice contrast with the brown ivory. The peg supporting the walrus is ivory and the base is whalebone.
