Oseuk uses the color differentiations in the ivory to great effect in this traditional carving.  The body of the walrus is carved from a very creamy piece, whereas the tusks are crisp and white - most likely carved from the tusk enamel - and stand out in contrast.  The eyes are baleen inlay.
